Limbo is the most recent exhibition by Portuguese artist Francisco Osório (1987) and the culmination of his work as artist-in-residence with the Careyes Foundation. Through photography, installation, sculpture and painting Osório reflects on environmental issues and highlights how even that which we consider “natural” has been changed by human activity. In this manner, “nature” or “wildness” is being lost—through intervention and as these words cease to express the notion of “the very essence of a being or object.”
